3-Gun Training Session

In this 1-hour session, you will learn the basics of Marksmanship of using 3 guns; handgun, shotgun and rifle. This is one-one session where you will work with your instructor to identify gaps on your marksmanship.

The session focuses on teaching you the basics of using:

  • Semi-Auto handgun (9mm)
  • Pump-Action Shotgun (Slugs)
  • Semi-Auto Rifle (22lr)

The session starts with firearm safety orientation and review of ACTS-PROVE. Then, a brief discussion on Range Safety and Etiquette before proceeding into Live Fire. A typical session outline will look like the following:

  • Safety Review: ACTS & PROVE
  • Range Safety & Etiquette
  • Verify Firearm & Ammo
  • Using the target system and handing out the target
  • Loading/unloading firearm magazines
  • Handling and Shooting the Firearm
  • Handling Malfunctions

For Safety reasons, un-casing and casing the firearm will be conducted by your Instructor.

The instructor will examine your current level of marksmanship and offer specific and detailed analysis of your performance in relation to:

  1. Grip
  2. Stance
  3. Trigger Control
  4. Sighting (Alignment and Picture)
  5. Breath Control
  6. Follow Up
  7. Rhythm

The session time will be divided almost evenly between the three firearms. You will shoot several rounds of 9mm using the semi-auto handgun, then, several slugs using the pump-action shotgun, and concluding by shooting several rounds of 22rl using a semi-auto rifle. Students may decide which firearm they wish to practice more.

During this, the Instructor will examine the 7 principles of marksmanship and advise accordingly.

By the end of the session, you will receive:

  • The paper targets you shot.
  • Analysis of your performance (verbally).
  • A written Marksmanship Report will follow later by email that details your performance, scores and further recommendations.
